The Gift of Southern Cooking....GIVEAWAY!!!

I read cooking magazines and cookbooks and that is about it.  So I guess you could say I'm an expert on cookbooks.  Yesterday I was in the bookstore and found a wonderful cookbook, The Gift of Southern Cooking by Edna Lewis and Chef Scott Peacock.  This really is the most complete cookbook of Southern Food I have ever found.  It has recipes from every area of the South.  I liked the book so much that I bought two copies.  One for myself and one to giveaway to one of you.  This is just my way of saying thanks to all of you who read my blog regularly.

This is my first giveaway....so I'm learning as I go!

To enter you must be following my blog publicly or become a follower and you must leave a comment for this post.  You must do both.  Then I will put all the names in my soup pot and draw one winner.  You must be entered by Midnight(CST) on June 14.  The winner will be announced on June 15.  The winner is required to contact me no later than June 21.

This contest is open to all my readers worldwide.  If you win I will do my best to get it to you wherever you live.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me at bosbowl@gmail.com

  15. Thanks for offering a giveaway. The cookbook looks incredible!

I read cookbooks like novels. My husband doesn't understand my obsession. He questions why I would buy cookbooks when I write my own. The answer is simple, I love to cook and I love all things connected with cooking.

  19. Bo, About twenty years ago, both Edna Lewis and I lived in Charleston, S.C. She was the resident chef at Middleton Plantation and I directed a cooking school just west of the Ashley. She often came in the shop. I was asked for Connoisseur Magazine to do a food style for an article they were doing on Edna. I spent a wonderful morning (starting at 5 a.m.) with her at the plantation. Afterwards, she prepared a breakfast for us and we spent another hour talking about true southern cooking. She was delightful. I'd love to have the cookbook. I am a "follower".

    Thanks for the great memory!

    Best,
    Bonnie
