Mongolian Chicken
I think I could eat Chinese food everyday. Mongolian Chicken is definitely my all time favorite Chinese dish. It it is spicy and delicious. Plus, it is quick and easy. Give this recipe a try.
Mongolian Chicken
3 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
1 onion, cut in half and sliced
1 bunch green onions, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 tbs cornstarch
4 tbs soy sauce
3 tbs hoisin sauce
2 tsp hot chili oil
salt and pepper
2 tbs peanut oil
In a bowl combine the chicken and the 2 tbs soy sauce, 1 tsp salt, and just a little black pepper. Then add 1 tbs of cornstarch toss with the chicken. Allow the chicken to marinate for 30 minutes. Then in a wok over a high flame add the oil then the chicken. Cook the chicken unitl it turns opaque. Then add the onions and 2 tbs of soy sauce. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the onions start to soften. Then stir in the hoisin sauce and the hot chili oil. Cook for one additional minute.
Serve over a bed of fried maifun noodles. This recipe works great with beef too. Enjoy!
